About ECar

In September 2011 Jotech Design bought all assets in EV adapt and changed the name to ECar Sweden. They have been involved since the beginning of EV-adapts effort to convert Fiat 500 to a pure electrical vehicle in 2008.

They have transferred key people based on their experience from the automotive industry from Jotech Design and other companies in to ECar.

ECar Swedens  staff are today a very competent R&D team with experience from various OEM such as Ford, GM & Volvo, the range of their experience goes from production, design & testing, purchasing & logistic to the management level.

ECar Sweden is dedicated to green technology innovation in the automotive sector, especially with regards to providing full electric, fuel cells or range extender alternatives.

The Global community is more environmentally aware than ever before in the history of mankind. As a result, eco-initiatives are being given Governmental backing in order to combat the growing issue of carbon emissions and pollution.

Electric cars were first invented in 1834 by Thomas Davenport. Since then most major car manufacturers, at some time or another, have taken steps to build an electric car or a hybrid;  e.g. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Renault, Citroen, Volvo, General Motors, Ford, Nissan, etc.

However, the cost of implementing new lines of vehicles is currently not economically viable and may only be feasible within the next 5 years. Whereas ECar Sweden already are doing it.

We are seeing the need for electric cars, for public services, large corporations and transportation companies who want to evaluate and use environmentally friendly cars. There´s also a market for electric cars for personal use as the technology becomes more known and accessible.

We at ECar Sweden are convinced that the only way to reach adequate volumes and to serve the market in the near future is to be very flexible in terms of vehicles together with a standardized and industrialized process. We have been delivering converted vehicles since 2010 based on production experience from Autoadapt.
